Unable to create new GPO under Group Policy Management

    Question

  • Hi Team,

    I am preparing a test lab for System Center 2012 Configuration Manager and I am unable to create a new GPO under Group Policy Management Console on my Virtual Machine running Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter (Evaluation). The user account is local and Domain Controller Administrator and has Full Control of SYSVOL folder under of Domain Controller. The option to create a new GPO is greyed out under Group Policy Management Console. 

     

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hi,

    Please try to open the Domain GPO as Administrators even though you are logon as Domain admins. Right click on "Group Policy Management"->Run as administrator.
