Since windows maintains a "30 day - frequency of use" count (see Control Panel - Add / Remove) is there a mechanism to report / extract this data? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm looking at various 3rd party packages to report software inventory and usage. It dawned on me that I had seen "rarely used" in my travels in Windows and finally found where it was displayed. The Add / Remove Software facility in the Control Panel reports it.

That's when I wondered if there is a utility/report we already had that I could use to extract this data from all my networked systems.
I would aggregate them and have an ability to analyze what we really used. Keeping 30 snap shots would let me trend the usage.

    Any Ideas? Please advise.
