Media Center TV Errors RRS feed

  • Question

  • I recently installed Windows Vista Home Premium x64 on my computer.  Everything is working well except Media Center.

When I try and watch TV the video image and sound stutters or there is no video image and sound stutter.  Sometimes though it will show live TV perfectly fine.

I have looked in the event logs and it shows the following error:

I have a NXP SAA7162 dual tuner DVB-T card and I also get the same error message with
7162 BDA Analog TV Tuner1 in it.

I also get the same stuttering issues watching TV using the software that came with my TV card.  In Windows XP I have no TV watching problems.

I am using the latest drivers for all my hardware.

    AMD 4800+ X2 processor
    8GB RAM
    Nvidia 9600GT video card
    Nvidia Nforce 5 based motherboard

Any ideas on what is causing these problems and how to fix them?
