Can't turn off the badly airbrushed "sunrays" on the wallpaper slideshows. (for Nature theme, etc.) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Talk about Photoshop disasters.  Someone on the GUI team thought it was cool to add some glaringly (pardon the pun) fake sunrays to the Nature theme.  I do not know if this is strictly part of the Nature theme, or whether this is an entirely separate setting.  I put some great scenic wallpapers on rotation today, and a lot of them suddenly look like they belong to the stale back room of a dilapidated laundromat.  What gives?  How do you turn this (ahem) "feature" off?

Is it just a matter of deleting the "Nature" folder and starting fresh?  Do other default themes inflict these cruel jokes?

  • The themes are system files and cannot be edited. You will need to construct a custom theme. There is no reason you cannot use the nature theme as a starting point.
