SQL MA connects to SQL server with networkClearText logon though configured with integrated Windows authentication RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have SQL MA and it has been configured to use windows integrated authentication. both FIM machine and sql server have registered SPNs.

When we run the SQL MA, the audit log shows that the id used to logon to sql server uses the logonType 8, which is NetworkClearText , i am not sure why.

SQL server has been configured to use Windows integrated plus the auth_scheme property of sql server shows "KERBEROS" when the MA connects to SQL server. but in FIM server, we see this audit log, which says this id uses logontype 8.

Is this expected behavior ? else, how can we overcome this?

Any help would be much appreciated

    Thanks, Prani.
