safe mode problem in xp RRS feed

  • using xp professional and only boots up in safe mode. tried F8 and safe mode with prompt and typed sfc/scannow and it won't run and scan the protected files. any ideas?

  • Sir, if you can log in with safemode try these steps :

     

    1- Start --> Run... --> %TEMP% --> Select Al --> Delete --> ok

    2- Start --> Run... --> TEMP --> Select Al --> Delete --> ok

    3- Start --> Run... --> msconfig --> Startup --> disable All --> ok  

     

    and Run the Sfc /scannow in safemode.

     

    also  check the latest Program you're installed in your computer try to Uninstall it

  • only boot in safe mode,  try this  safe mode/ms config/in system configuration/boot tab/ un check "safe boot"  apply  re- start,  good luck
    any help is well appreciated, it all depends on who needs it
