MS apps on surface pro 2 can't access internet RRS feed

  • Question

  • Chrome, Outlook, and windows update can access internet.  Nothing else can, and they either hang or crash. That includes onenote, onnote metro, cnn metro, store metro, windows mail (metro), internet explorer (metro). It looks like sugarsync is ok, as is espn metro. So something about the other apps share a common means / path to the net, and that's broken. As another clue, I tried doing a restore. The restore failed, having some issue with windowscommunicationsapps, whatever that is. Sounds related though.
