Macbook Pro High Sierra & Outlook 2016 Problems with sending RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

we have a Problem with a Macbook (High Sierra) and Outlook 2016.

The Problem is simple but not simple to fix:

Outlook sends mails. But sometimes 3 from 10 Mails wont be send. Outlook said the mail is send and there is nothing in the Outbox but the email wont be send. The Mail appears in the send folder. Its quite annoying because we cant find any errors or something.

    What we have done:

Change the Macbook to a new one. BUT we reinstallt the new one with a backup file from timemachine. Also the new Macbook was upgradet to high serria.

    Reinstall Outlook

    Create a new Profile

Tests over OWA (Owa works fine)

If its possible it would be nice if we dont need to fully reset the macbook and copy the files.

    Someone had this problem before?

  • Hi,

    What's your account type? Exchange?

    >>The Mail appears in the send folder.

Does it also show in the Sent Folder on OWA?

In case a user's specific information may be corrupted, you can log on as a new user or create a new user account, and then test.

Besides, we could perform a clean startup (safe mode) to determine whether background programs are interfering with Office for Mac. Please refer to this link.

Any updates, please feel free to tell me.

    Regards,

    Perry

    Hi Perry,

im sorry. I was a bit busy in the last weeks.

The Mails appear in the Send Folder on the Mac book but not in OWA.

We already did a safestart with the same problems.

The wired part is that some Mails will be send and will be in the send folder in Owa. And some are only in the sendfolder at the MacBook Outlook.

We dont have the Problems if we send directly over owa or do it with a Windows client.

    Hi Perry,

we are on the newst Version atm. I checked the Update Service last Wednesday. Also we did a clean reinstall. It only happens to this user. Our next try would be a complete reset of the macbook and only install office. If the problem stays we need to recreate the User.

Is there anything else we can do before? Also i got an old log entry:

May 23 09:41:39 Name-Mac-Book-Air Office365ServiceV2[2056]: objc[2056]: Class HttpStream is implemented in both /Applications/Microsoft Outlook.app/Contents/Frameworks/mbukernel.framework/Versions/A/mbukernel (0x10f44f2f8) and /Applications/Microsoft Outlook.app/Contents/SharedSupport/Office365ServiceV2.app/Contents/MacOS/Office365ServiceV2 (0x10f188560). One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined.

Maybe this helps you a bit. There is one wired thing. Look at the PC Name. I changed the first name to "Name" for security reasons. But the log shows first that Mac-Book-Air and after that Mac-Book-Pro.

  • Hi,

How is everything going on with this user? Have you tried recreating the user?

    >>Our next try would be a complete reset of the macbook and only install office. If the problem stays we need to recreate the User.

If the issue continues after a complete reset of the Macbook, the issue maybe related with the user account.

Besides, we can also troubleshoot Office 2016 for Mac issues by completely uninstalling before you reinstall. Please refer to this link.

    Regards,

    Perry
