Forced start CHKDSK RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Today I autimatically (without planned) started Chkdsk need scan C and D sections.

What I managed to write down - Deleting index entry UpdateSessionorchestration.049 etl in index 130 of file 5555.A UPE286 1 etl.

These files had been restored together 12.

What is it and why it actually spontaneously triggered?

  • Hi,

The reason why chkdsk deleting your index is that the files were already damaged before chkdsk deleted the index. But the index points to an unused file, probably a bad block that could not be read, so it could not be reallocated.

Common automatic triggers for Check Disk are improper system shutdowns, failing hard drives and file system issues caused by malware infections.

I’d suggest you to back up all hard disk first.

  • Hi,

Yes improper system shutdown because windows 10 not working properly - restart or shutdown pc not working also start menu. Back to windows 7 is best choice for my labtop.
