How to Copy Projects in Project 365 RRS feed

  • Hey guys,

    Once a Project is uploaded/Created in Projects Online on Office 365, how can that project be duplicated or copied, and renamed to form a new and separate project?

    Or does a brand new file have to be uploaded to Sharepoint if we want to start a new project from an existing template?

    We can only see how to start a new project from scratch or upload an existing project from Project Professional (Which has to be done by someone with a PC, although most of our team uses Macs and needs to be able to create their own Projects starting from a template)

    To create a new project from an existing project, you would need to do one of two things:

    • A PC user would need to use the New From Existing Project feature in Microsoft Project Professional.
    • A PC user would need to create an enterprise project template for the type of projects you are managing, and then your Project Online administrator would need to create a new Enterprise Project Type (EPT) that uses the new enterprise project template.  Once done, Mac users would be able to create a new project using the New menu on the Project Center page in PWA and selecting the EPT in question.
