Conecting two data bases into one RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

I wonder if it's possible to combine 2 data bases from SQL Server into one (first has date with short-term investments and second with short-term receivables). Into the bases there are columns with  the same headers eg. Dt, Ct, TIMEID and AccountID, but in first source there are accounts from numer 100-130 and in second from 200-220. I would like to do so in order to create a balance sheet.

I need to add that I have reed-only acces to data base and don't have SQL skills. It would be nice to solve this problem in power pivot and power query. If not please give me instruction for my IT specialist.

    Thanks for help

  • If both datasets are having same column headers then you can use append option of PowerQuery i.e append 2 datasets into single dataset.
