Securing Remote Desktop Conection RRS feed

  • Question

  • HI,

We have 3 Windows Std 2003 Servers and for accessing these we are using Remote Desktop Connection on port 3389. We are implementing ISMS (ISO27001) for information security and in the same course of action we have done Vulnerability assessment and found an observation regarding these Windows Std 2003 Servers. This observation is as follows..

"MS terminal service running on port 3389 (Windows Remote Desktop) on the hosts. The version in use is known to be vulnerable to Man-In-The-Middle (MITM) attacks. "

    1. We want to know that how can we access these servers using Windows Remote Desktop more securely?
    2. Can we implement SSL and How?
    3. Is there any way to access server GUI?

    Thanks and Regards
