    Hi!

    For our legal compliancy demands, i'd need to find detailed information what exactly DPM does when it checks the tape using "verify run". Does it do CRC checks, does it check for data corruption or does it just verify that "it can get 1's and 0's out of the magnetic surface of the tape"?

    The question, in a nutshell, is how reliable the DPM's tape verify run is?

    Verify calculates the checksum of the data written on tape and compares it with checksum which is also written on the tape.
