Need help to retrieve mailboxes. RRS feed

  • Hi all,

    I need urgent help with retrieving deleted mailboxes. The Mailboxes are still on the server but are flagged for deletion. I tried following http://support.microsoft.com/kb/274343 but when I try to find the users to reconnect to it is always telling me that the user name or object cannot be found. Can you help me with this?

  • Hi,

    I actually solved the issue.

    Just in case it happens to someone else here are the steps.

    1. Create a new user which you are going to connect the mailbox to.
    2. Right-click on the user and choose Exchange Tasks.
    3. Choose Remove Exchange attributes.
    4. Go on Exchange System Manager, select the mailbox, right-click on it and select reconnect.
    5. Choose the user you just created and the user will be connected to the mailbox.
