Troubles with DPMand SCOM MP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

We have some troubles with the MP for DPM.
After the reinstallation of the SCOM agent and clearing the health cache we keep getting the following error from the Health Service Modules (Eventid 11903)

The Microsoft Operations Manager Expression Filter Module could not convert the received value to the requested type.
    Property Expression: Params/Param[15]
    Property Value: 7193,5743894
    Conversion Type: DataItemElementTypeDouble(3)
    Original Error: 0x80FF005A
One or more workflows were affected by this.
    Workflow name: Microsoft.Windows.SystemCenterDPM2010.RecoveryPointCreationFailedWithThreshold
    Instance name: Advantive Mailbox Database
    Instance ID: {84676755-C33C-0627-BBC7-4E409036CCBC}
    Management group: AdvantiveServices

The DPM server does show up in SCOM but not messages are arriving.

We are running DPM version 3.0.7706.0 and SCOM 2007 R2 CU4

    Kind regards,

    Hans Oele

  • Hi there,

I have the same problem, like Hans, i have talked to him but there is no solution yet. My enviroment is a litte differnet. It is an monitored DPM in an other Domain behind an SCOM Gateway, but the behavior is the same.
We are runnnig DPM 3.0.7707.0 an SCOM 2007 R2 CU5, SCOM Gateway an SCOM Agent are also a CU5.

Edit: SCOM Manamgent Server is an english installation / the SCOM Gateway is german / the DPM Server is a german installation

  • I have compared the eventlogs from two different DPM Servers, the first is our DPM Server, it is an English installation. The second one is on the customer site an it is an German installation.

I compared two events, which are the same. Event ID 3106 from DPM alerts eventlogfile.
In the last XML EventData Data field is the value which is differnet from the german server to the english one

On the english server we have 50397.1840965 on the german site there is 23492,3423324

I think the problem is the sperator ","

    Any ideas?

Edit: Observed an other German DPM 2010 Eventlog, same here seperator is ","
