Adding and Recognizing Memory with Vista Home Premium RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have added 2GB of memory to my system (PC with Windows Vista Service Pack1) but my Adobe Photoshop CS4 application isn't recognizing it.  I have confirmed that the memory is correctly installed and functional but when I access Photoshop Preferences to increase my memory allocation it is still showing approximately 1.5GB which was what I had before I installed the memory.  The Photoshop people say I should increase the Virtual memory using IncreaseUserVa but I have no idea how to do that.  I will need step by step instructions....

    Thanks,

    j.

  • Hi,

There is a TechNet blog address the issue:

Hey where did /3GB go in Longhorn and Vista?

In addition, I found another website page for you.
