Project publising - ReportingWssTransferLinksFailed RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We get this error when publish the project. This error is not block the publishing process.
We tried the "official" workaround (delete, republish) without success.

ReportingWssTransferLinksFailed (24019) - Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_MSP_WssListItemAssociation'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.MSP_WssListItemAssociation'

    The duplicate key value is (8d0554b4-b4dd-4374-9352-743f8191e308, 8cfc00e3-055d-4327-bd2d-f34a82dfa960, c51a7961-00d9-4862-b1a6-1ccf843febcb, 19).'.

Can you tell me what is the RelationshipTypeID  19 in this table? I found only this article but the last ID is 14.

    Thanks,

    Istvan

  • Hi,

I cannot tell you, but if you search for the ID value in the sharepoint content DB, you should find the culprit.

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi,

I found the item and delete it.

But I would like to understand what and why?

  • Issues like this can because of factors and its hard to determine what actually cause it.   Project server has many timer jobs occurring during, publishing and SharePoint maintenance.   Plus there are locks on tables on during these jobs and generating reports cause SQL locks.   Look a the SharePoint central maintenance jobs to get a bigger picture of all jobs running.

My assumption is server was rebooted or someone killed a job in the queue and a publish record becoming dangling or corrupted.   Doesn't happen often and your issue is a time when something describe above occurred.
