  • Hi create_share,

Have you install the KB3102810? It’s used for install and search for updates is slow. Please refer to the link below.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3102810

Also we could install KB 3161664 to speed up Windows Update scans manually.

If you met some errors when you try updating, we could follow the steps in the link below to troubleshoot.

Hope it will be helpful to you

  • Follow these instructions exactly.
First, set Windows Updates to never check for Updates.
Next restart your computer, then install KB3020369, if not installed.
    Then install KB3172605.

Windows updates should return to normal. You can then reset your updates to automatically check for updates if desired

  • Hi create_share,

It’s a nice choice to install KB3172605. It replaced the speed-up patch KB3161608. The July 2016 update rollup includes some new improvements and fixes including the improvements from June 2016 update roll up KB3161608.

Glad to hear that you have found a solution and thank you for sharing it here, it will be helpful to other community members who have same questions.

    Best regards,

    Carl
