    hello,

    is their anyway i can get the value of a summary task in a separate list in a specific field ?what i want to do is get the Phase name e.g. Initiating in the project list in a separate list which has a phase field, the problem is that the phases, project name everything comes in the title field in MS project, i want to display them separately in a sharepoint task list..any ideas ? thanks

    Sorry, I does not quite understand your requirement. By Phase name, do you mean the Summary Task created in SharePoint task list (http://workerthread.wordpress.com/2010/08/21/sharepoint-2010-project-tasks-summary-tasks/ )?

     

    The Task Name field in project 2010 is synchronized to the Title field in SharePoint 2010 task list, no matter it is a task or summary task.

     

    By showing only phase name in another list, do you mean showing the summary tasks only? You can do this by creating a view to display only content type of summary task in the list.
