Help with understanding how ASP.net renders in IIS7 / IIS7.5 to become the end product of a fully functional web page. RRS feed

  • I am looking to get a better understanding web development, and the processes that take place when sending information from ASP.net through IIS, and then out to the Webpage.

I have a background in Visual style (VB.net) programming for the Windows Desktop environment, so I am use to seeing a graphical type environment that can tangibly been seen.   However, as I am moving more toward Web Development, and trying to use ASP.net, I am finding out that it is compiling as a non-graphical environment to render the end result (which is the web-page that the user sees).

But I am struggeling to understand the process of how it works, and how it ends up getting from start to finish.

Can anyone help me with understanding this process, or what has helped others in the past.  Thanks.
