I am running vista home premium and I am trying to use task scheduler. I keep getting an error stating that "MMC has detected an error in a snap-in and will unload it then I get the following error dialog box. "at System.RuntimeTypeHandle.CreateInstance(RuntimeType type, Boolean publicOnly, Boolean noCheck, Boolean& canBeCached, RuntimeMethodHandle& ctor, Boolean& bNeedSecurityCheck) at System.RuntimeType.CreateInstanceSlow(Boolean publicOnly, Boolean fillCache) at System.RuntimeType.CreateInstanceImpl(Boolean publicOnly, Boolean skipVisibilityChecks, Boolean fillCache) at System.Activator.CreateInstance(Type type, Boolean nonPublic) at Microsoft.ManagementConsole.FormView.InternalInitialize()
I even tried starting task scheduler from command line with the same results. I recently installed some updates and updated a few drivers also, maybe that caused the problem??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
