Why have you decided to install a CAS?
It does not make sense to place the database for a CAS and a primary on the same SQL server. There will be too much load on it and you are introducing a single point of failure.Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

You can have a remote SQL instance, it doesn't have to be local. You can also host the multiple site databases on the same SQL as long as they are in a seperate instance. Having said all of this, why have a CAS when you only have a single primary site?
