  • Hi Sowjanya --

if you are using the SSRS reports, you can use the out of the box subscription feature of SSRS.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms160334(v=sql.105).aspx

If you have any custom reports using ASP.NET/Webparts etc, you can get the security web service to get the Group & associated User GUID, based on the Resource GUID, you can write a query in reporting database to get the email of resource from Resource_UserViews & use SPUtility.Sendemail to send the email.

    Hope that helps.

  • Hi there--

In case of SharePoint integrated mode, Please follow the article:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb326364(v=sql.105).aspx

The destination of report (rdl file) must be a sharepoint library &  SharePoint delivery extension installed and configured. Please follow above article step by step & let us know if you see any issue.

    Thanks,

  • hi I have doubt.First of all let me know, that to create subscriptions i am not able to open SSRS URL which was configured in Sharepoint Integration Mode. While installing SQL also we should select Sharepoint integration mode or not? I installed SQL in native mode and configured reporting services in Sharepoint integration mode. And now i am facing the error that "This operation is not supported on report server that is configured to run in Sharepoint Integration Mode. Please helpme. It is very urgent Thanks in Advance

  • Hi GSouji,

I'm doing more or less what you want to do, but in my case I'm using SQL, I did some SQL Scripts that calculate whatever I need to send and then I send an e-mail using the sp_send_dbmail procedure.

Take a look here http://msdn.microsoft.com/es-es/library/ms190307.aspx to know how to do it.

Once the SQL Script is done I just create an SQL Maintenance Plan in order to execute the SQL Script whenever I need it to be executed.

If you want more details, please, do not hesitate to ask, I'm using this way and it works fine.

  • Hi There--

Ok, That's all fine. You don't need to access the URL like http://servername/reports/pages/folder.aspx

You have already SSRS configured with sharepoint integrated mode. Now, Once you ahve this, You will need to follow:
    1. You will need to have the
    report definition (.rdl) file
    2. You can either upload the rdl file or deploy using the BIDS on sharepoint library or report library. (t
he destination must be a SharePoint library. When choosing a target library, you must choose one that is on the same SharePoint site. You cannot deliver a report to a library on another server or another site within the same site collection)
    3. Go to the Library where you uploaded the report & click on the report item menu & Manage Subscription & create a new one.

    Hope that helps.
