The activation did not complete successfully RRS feed

  • After several unsuccessful backups I uninstalled and reinstalled the agent and now I can't reactivate my backup server.  The Azure site status shows all green but seems like something is wrong with Azure Online backup.  I am starting to have my doubts this service is ready for prime time.

    Update:  After 3 attempts I got the server re-registerd.  Something just is right about Azure Online Backup when you have to try things multiple times, restart services, etc to get it working.

    We are sorry to hear about your trouble. if  you can send the agent logs under (<Product Install Dir>\Windows Azure Online Backup Agent\Temp\CBEngineCurr.errlog) to waobsupport@microsoft.com we would be glad to unblock you and also help to root cause why earlier backups didn't succeed.
