SCCM Restore RRS feed

  • Question

  • After my SCCM restore my library content folder is empty. I have drivers etc pointing to share that doesn't exist. Should I just copy this stuff over from the old server? Thanks.

  • Hi,

Please make sure the package source location should keep the same with the old server.

  • Thanks. Something weird is happening. I changed the name of old server to SCCM-OLD and the new one to the correct name. Now when I look at the source content is SCCM it has the path mapped back to the old server. I have also noticed that some of the shared folders are not created. I'm guessing I just have to reshare the correct folders. One last main issue I can't access some of the shares created to even map SCCM packages to the location. Do you know what this problem could be? Thanks.

  • You can't change the name of the server with ConfigMgr installed already -- it will break ConfigMgr.

As for what you're describing, please be more specific and provide screenshots if possible because what you've written above is ambiguous and unclear.

  • Thanks. I was able to get that working out. Now I am having issues redistributing packages. Thanks.
