  • We are looking into improving this in a future version of SCSM.  For now the TAB key is about all you have for working with the keyboard.  The user picker and list value pickers have some keyboard accessibility.

  • Travis,

This is the future calling.  Where are our hot keys?

  • In the help module of the SCSM console I was able to find this list of keyboard shortcut keys:

To do this …  Use this keyboard shortcut …
Display or hide the navigation pane. Alt+F1
Display or hide the Tasks pane. Ctrl+T
Display or hide the Details pane. Ctrl+D
    Refresh the current view. F5
Select or clear a check box. Spacebar
Select the next Service Manager console item. Tab
Select the previous Service Manager console item. Shift+Tab
Perform the action for the selected item. Enter
    Display the Administration workspace. Ctrl+1
    Display the Library workspace. Ctrl+2
Display the Work Items workspace. Ctrl+3
Display the Configuration Items workspace. Ctrl+4
Display the Data Warehouse workspace (if the data warehouse server is registered with Service Manager). Ctrl+5
Display the Reporting workspace (if the data warehouse server is registered with Service Manager). Ctrl+6
Within views, navigate through an item list. Arrow keys
Within views, navigate through multiple pages. Page Up or Page Down
Within views, navigate to the first or last item on the current page. Home or End
Within views, navigate to the first or last item in a list. Ctrl+Home or Ctrl+End
On property pages, switch between tabs. Ctrl+Tab

  • Jon,

Try prefixing the letter you want to use with an underscore.

For Incidents, a popular use case for us is to update Comments.  I just set the value of the Content property to be _Comment:

Staff just just use Alt+C and the focus goes to the Comments field.

  • Hey, what's the matter with hotkeys now? I am using System Center 2012 R2 and still see no keys.

But now is almost 2015 year on the calendar. What keys can we use in incident window?
