Task scheduler and standard users RRS feed

  • This seems the best forum I could find to post this question.

I'm deploying an application that creates a task to be run.  While I'd like to be able to use the localuser in the task definition, I cannot due to the fact that the setup app I use is elevated to admin and thus asking for the current user returns the system admin, not the local user in this case a standard user.

So, I went out to the OS and created a task under the admin and in the general tab, selected the the group USERS.  I then logged into the user with standard (non admin) rights and tried to run the task and got a permission denied.  Via my setup, I gave the standard user rights to read and write to the folder that I am using yet this seems to be an issue with task secuirty.

Is there any way to create a task that a user can run?
