WMDC works with Outlook2010 32 bit but not 64 bit

I was using the 32 bit version of Office2010. I had no problem syncing with my device. After removing the 32 bit version of Office2010 and Installing the 64 bit version I can not sync Outlook2010 items with my device. I can not select anything in the Sync Settings having to do with Outlook2010. I dropped the partnarship and recreated it and that did not help. I got a dialog stating that no default mail client or te mail client can not fulfill messaging request. In Outloo2010 Options I checked to have it set as the default.

What's going on and how do I fix it?

Based on second-hand information in the threads linked below, it appears that you'll have to wait for WMDC to be updated to work with Outlook 2010 64-bit:

I am running Windows 7 64-bit and Office 2010 64-bit. WMDC syncs with my old Windows Mobile 5.0 device, however, I have all my sync options set to sync directly with Exchange, not with Outlook. (Exchange has to be set up for Activesync) I still get the pop-up (No default mail client) when I first connect my mobile device, but I click ok and never see it again, until I reconnect. At least this will hold me until MSoft updates WMDC to be a true 64-bit sync program.

Hope this helps....I haven't seen this posted anywhere else... (and I've looked)

By the way, MSoft, please get working on the 64-bit version of WMDC. (And make sure to show WM 5.0 some love when you do.....)
