Team Developer / Connection string RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi

I try to connect my local MS db from Team Developer with this with no luck. Can anybody verify

Source=(LocalDB)\\MSSQLLocalDB (which is the server in MSSM which is working well)

Initial Catalog=HOLLYWD  (which is my database)

User ID=dfUserId (which is the userid when I log on to MSSM)

Password=dfPassword (here I use my log on pw to the pc as I do not know any other. Logging to MSSM does not ask a PW)

    Call SalWaitCursor( TRUE )
    Set SqlDatabase = STRING_Null
    Set SqlUser = STRING_Null
    Set SqlPassword = STRING_Null
    Set SqlResultSet  = TRUE
    Set SqlIsolationLevel = 'RL'
    Set sConnectionString = 'SQLOLEDB;Data Source=(LocalDB)\\MSSQLLocalDB;Initial Catalog=HOLLYWD;User ID=dfUserId;Password=dfPassword;Persist Security Info=True;'
    Call SqlCreateSession( hSqlLocal, sConnectionString )

  • Hi kjellv,

Based on your description, you successfully connect to LocalDB from SQL Server Management Studio using Windows Authentication. Then the connection string in your application should be as follows, if you still fail to connect to LocalDB from Team Developer, please help to post the full error message for analysis.

    Set sConnectionString = 'SQLOLEDB;Data Source=(LocalDB)\\MSSQLLocalDB;Initial Catalog=HOLLYWD;Integrated Security=true'
