  • All auto updates appear to be present.

Pressing that fixit button gets a screen with a 'run' button; I press it, and everything stops after the download.

I've rolled IE9 back to IE8, and the 'no open' problem persists.

  • Some of these failures result in the "new blank window" instance I saw another thread about.

Some are swing and miss - nothing happens upon left click. But I can copy with right click.

  • Hi,

Would you please let us know more information about the issue?

1.Where is the link you click?
2.When the issue occurs, what is the error message?

You may ensure all the updates have been applied.

I would like to suggest you try the following to check the issue:

    1.Reset Internet Explorer settings
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737

2.Disable the security software temporarily and see if it works.

3.You may also try to reinstall or update Internet Explorer.

    Thanks!
