RDP issue Win XP to Win 7 RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I current have an isssue I need to resolve.

    Got a Windows XP desktop connecting to a Windows 7 VM. 

    When I start the connection, I click connect and get a legal prompt and click ok to that. Next I get a error saying " The user name or password is incorrect."

    Click Ok to the error message, and I have the logon screen. I enter in the credentials and the screen goes black, and refreshes back to the logon screen. Entering the credentials and I can login.

    In the log files under Application log I see this

    I have checked to see if the KB969084 is installed, which apparently can fix this issue I am getting but it didnt.

    Also I can connect to the VM from a 2k8r2 box just fine, no errors.

    Running out of ideas on what to check for, currently checking for Group Policies or registry fixes.

    Any ideas?
