Slow Performance connecting MOSS over IAG RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have a IAG with SP2 Appliance (W2k3 SP2) and have published a MOSS 2007 SP2 (Template "SharePoint Server 2007") over an HTTPS Trunk.
In this environment we experience a very slow performance after the login page. It takes about 30 seconds to show a MOSS Web-Site
and it takes over one hour to download a 80 mb zip-file.

This problem occures only while connecting MOSS over IAG. From inside our network there are no performance issues while connecting MOSS
environment. There are also no performance issues while connecting moss from IE on the appliance.

We have checked eventlogs, network settings, trunk configs and ad-connection with no result.
Can you give me some suggestions where to search next?

    Best regards
    Greg

  • Hi Greg,
May be you can enable the IAG Trace log and see if you can find anything.

    In C:\Whale-Com\e-Gap\von\InternalSite\inc\trace.inc
    Change trace_on = false to read trace_on = true

    In C:\Whale-Com\e-Gap\common\conf\trace.ini
Add the following lines to the last of the file.

    [trace\whlfilter]

    *=xheavy

    Regards,
    Donald
