Prevent Internet Access from Explorer RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We are trying out the "Prevent Internet Access from Internet Explorer" policy and have come up with an issue. We are placing a URL of a test website in the "except web sites:". This is all being done using Group Policies via the SCTSettings.adm file.  When testing out the profile, the policy failed to work and the site did not display. I made sure that www.acornweb.org was set without the http: or https: prefix. However, if I changed the site's domain suffix from .org to .com the site will load. My question is this, is there any way that the "Prevent Internet Access from Internet Explorer" policy can accept other domain suffixes other than .com ? I tried placing an IP address instead of a URL and that did not work. TIA...
