Vista 64 getting message about sasnative64 program RRS feed

  • Question

  • When booting a PC running 64 bit Vista Ultimate (SP2), I get a message that says:

SASNATIVE64 program not found - AUTOCHECK skipped.

This message appears just before the login screen during the boot process.  I am assuming the AUTOCHECK reference is indicating that the autocheck of the filesystem during startup is being skipped??  I have searched both Technet and even tried google for any information on this message.  I have not been able to find anything.  The system seems to start normally and I can login fine.  I am however concerned about the long term impact of this condition.  Three questions come to mind:

    (1) Does anyone know what this message means?
    (2) Does anyone know what actions I can take to correct the condition?
    (3) What is the long term impact if I ignore the message and take no corrective action?

  • I get the same message on windows 7 64 bit . It started when I installed SYSTEM MECH. and selected boot optimisor tool and check disk. I have run check disk in windows with no problems at all.
