  • Question

  • I do not know how on Windows 10 laptop how to restore my Microsoft security settings. The message came as a pop up after my latest update last night. When I just logged on and I could get into the log in and start my Norton update, the pop up came on. Please help me. Thank you.

  • Hi,

Can you offer me the screenshot that shows the details?

As I known, there may be compatibility issues between win10 and Norton, especially you update the win10. I suggest you can temporarily remove the Norton and see if the pop up will come on.

You can reset the security settings by running secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose as administrator in CMD. The detailed information is located at %windir%\security\logs\scesrv.log.

    Best regards,
