Our Company website not open fully our intranet LAN Users RRS feed

  • We are using our Intranet DNS name ( xyz.in)  and our website name www.xyz.in  this website hosting at external DNS and web server also . when our LAN users using local DNS IP it not open properly and when we used our external DNS IP it work perfect . please suggest  we have create a record with Name www.xyz.in our local dns server .

  • Hi If you have a local dns zone using the same dns name you have to add A record for www mapped on external IP.. If you don’t have a internal zone, check forwarders settings on your local dns server, if it’s able to forward and resolve dns request when you try access on this website.

    Based on my knowledge, normally an A record with name www.xyz.in should work.

    Would you please make sure that the www record is configured with the right external IP address?

    Please also check if there is any CNAME record with the prefix www.
