Additional Addresses for DLs RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

What is the best way to add additional addresses for a distribution group? We have a number of groups in our existing on-premise solution using multiple SMTP addresses. Is there a way to add proxy addresses to groups (perhaps via support ticket or PowerShell)?

One thought I had was to nest the DLs? but I'm hoping they'll be a simpler way.

    Thanks,

    Neil

  • Adding Aliases to DL's can be done one of two ways:

    1.  Utilize DirSync and delete/recreate the DL with the new proxy addresses indicated in AD

    2.  Open a Service Request to have the additional addresses added.

If it wasn't difficult, it wouldn't be fun, but why's it got to be this much fun.

  • I'm curious about this too.  I noticed from admin, I couldn't add an alias for a DL.
