Skype For Business 2015 Not responding on Windows 8 RRS feed

  • Hello. I would like to ask if there is any compatibility issue between SFB 2015 and Windows 8 x64

    I can log in but that's about it . Everytime I want select contact, open chat, it just hang > not responding error.

    After few minutes it will kick me out with error connection to the server was lost .. Reconnectiong ..

    Appreciate your advise.

    Agree with Akampa.

    Would you please tell if you have the issue on another machine with SFB 2015?

    You could also try to delete SFB cache files and registry keys.

  • Yes we experienced kind of issues in combination of Windows 8 + SFB 2015 but interestingly fixed those after this update. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3115261

    July 5, 2016, update for Lync 2013 (Skype for Business) (KB3115261)

    Update covered following bugs 

    KB 3172197 Notifications for incoming calls don't always appear in Lync 2013 (Skype for Business)

    KB 3172193 Can't change presenters by using Meeting Options when a room resource is added in Lync 2013 (Skype for Business)

    KB 3172186 Lync 2013 (Skype for Business) is stuck when you try to sign in

    KB 3172184 Can't make Enterprise Voice calls when Lync 2013 (Skype for Business) connects to the external network

    KB 3172182 Lync client disconnects frequently when you use Lync 2013 (Skype for Business)

    if you still having any issues make sure your windows have latest updates installed and cleanly rebooted.

  • Hello Zara,

    There is no such issues with Win 8 but i would strongly recommend to update the client with the latest CU available as it fixes many issues with the Client hang issues. Would also suggest to run a clean boot on the machine to  isolate third party programs .
