Windows 8, IE 10 & UAG RRS feed

  • Question

  • I understand they're not currently compatible.  Does anyone have any idea if and when they will be?

    Thanks

  • I don't know Microsoft's official stance, but it works for me (without the components).

  • Unfortunately you need the UAG client components for SSL Application Tunneling:

The Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG) SSL Application Tunneling component provides SSL connectivity for non-Web protocols, such as those used by client/server and legacy applications, from the Internet to the internal network, thus enabling Forefront UAG users to safely access back-end applications.

On Windows 8 / IE 10 you get the following error: Forefront UAG client components installation is disabled

I'm wandering if and when Microsoft will get an UAG update out that will give support to IE10.

If Microsoft doesn't act fast we'll be obligated to implement another portal sollution for our customers.

  • Windows 8 (IE10) support in UAG is currently being worked on, but there is no official ETA at this time...

  • Than you, it is reassuring to hear that development continues for UAG.  DA is great on W8 Enterprise, but IE 10 support is a must for our users home and pro versions.
