Hidden Shutdown Icons RRS feed

  • Question

  • It is difficult to try to shutdown Windows Vista.   I searched and searched and could not find a way to shutdown.  Then I found a right arrow at the botton which provides a dialogue box with choices.

The shutdown icon should be displayed like in XP, making it easy for a user to know how to normally shutdown the software.    Otherwise the user will simply turn off the power and that would not be a good idea.

Is there a way to show the shutdown icon in Vista???  If not it should be much more obvious then it is now.

  • I believe the only way to shut down is to click or hover over the arrow button to the right of the Lock button on the Start menu.
