  • Hi paramesh,

    >How are these ports used in connecting from wsus server to client and viseversa.

    For WSUS 3.0 (server 2003&2008&2008R2), it use port 80 for http, port 443 for https by default;

    For WSUS 4.0 (server 2012&2012R2), it use port 8530 for http, port 8531 for https by default;

    >Also, when it asks for connect to server is it WSUS server or to client machine?

    Based on my understanding, this means connect to WSUS server from client.

    Best Regards,

    Anne
