CANNOT CREATE PASSWORD AFTER INSTALLATION WINDOWS SERVER 2012 RRS feed

  • Hi, Guys. I want to install windows server 2012 on VMWare Workstation 8. After finish installation Windows Server 2012, I want to create password user Administrator, I have to enter the password, and then appear " The password you type does not meet the password complexing requirements set by the administrator for your network or group. Get the requirement from your administrator, and then type a new password". anything that can help me ??

  • As the error suggests the password you've chosen isn't complex enough to meet the default complexity requirements. You can see full details of what those are here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh994562.aspx but essentially you need to include at least three of the following five types of character :

      • Uppercase letters of European languages (A through Z, with diacritic marks, Greek and Cyrillic characters)
      • Lowercase letters of European languages (a through z, sharp-s, with diacritic marks, Greek and Cyrillic characters)
      • Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
      • Non-alphanumeric characters (special characters) (for example, !, $, #, %)
      • Any Unicode character that is categorized as an alphabetic character but is not uppercase or lowercase. This includes Unicode characters from Asian languages

    There are other things that can preclude a password as the article above explains. One set and logged into Windows you can go into the password settings for the user and disable the requirement to meet complexity requirements if you really wanted to, but personally I wouldn't.
