  • Hello,

    i want to know what does the entries in
    HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Windows SteadyState\Parameters\RestrictedDesktops 
    do?

    They change every day, what could be the reason for this?

  • Hi knebel, I'd like to inform you that when a user has the restriction "Prevent users from saving files to the desktop", Windows SteadyState uses this reg key as a flag to indicate whether SteadyState has modified the ACLs for the user’s desktop path.
