  • Hi,

    IE9 and later no longer support VML (vector markup language)

    <v:imagedata o:href="cid:image001.jpg@01CF96A6.B1BDD7A0" src="file:///C:\Users\ELevine\AppData\Local\Temp\msohtmlclip1\01\clip_image001.jpg">

    To view legacy vml web pages in IE11, the website developers have to place a special tag (x-ua meta tag) in their web pages or system administrators can use the Enterprise view list to force some sites to use a legacy IE rendering...

    or

    you can use the IE Developer tool to switch IE11's documentMode (for the current page)

    to IE8. You have to do this each time you visit the page/site.

    the recommendation is to convert your vml to svg standards.

    Regards.

  • Hi,

    Coulld you plaese describe this issue in details so we can know what happened? A screenshot would be helpful.

    Generally, for Internet Explorer, we can disable add-ons as a test to find some culprits, (Tools\Manange add-ons)

    or just reset IE (Tools\Internet Options\Advance\Reset).

  • Yolanda,

    Thanks for the prompt response. This comes as an email attachment which worked properly until I upgraded from win 8 to 8.1. I had disabled the add-ons without any change in behavior. I saved the attachment to my desktop, no difference. However, I copied the file to a box running an different IE version and it worked correctly which says the file is not the problem.
