Display Settings not Saving RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Bosch VIP XD HD camera decoder (basically an AOPEN box) that runs Windows Embedded and uses Intel HD Graphics. it defaults to 1920 x 1200 for a resolution but we are running them on 16:9 displays at 1920 x 1080. every time you go in and change the settings to the correct resolution, 1920 x 1080, it takes but if you disconnect power or do a reboot it defaults back to 1920 x 1200. how do i save the correct settings so it does not do this?

  • If the system is running Windows Embedded Standard or Windows XP Embedded, the OS might have FBWF or EWF enabled in the image. With the filters enabled, all writes to the disk are sent to RAM and lost on a reboot.

Here is some information on FBWF: http://www.annabooks.com/Articles/Articles_XPE/FBWF.pdf

Information on both filters can be found on MSDN. To change settings you must first disable the filter, reboot, make the change, enable the filter, and reboot again for the filter to be enabled. The filters assist with preventing drive corruption in case of a sudden power off. Please contact the manufacturer for more information.
