Outlook 2010 Delegate access RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have set calendar delegate access up but the delegate can only enter new appointments by sending me an email rather than making an entry directly into my calendar. We also use exchange. Can somebody please tell me how to sort this out.

    Thank you

  • Hi,

Please make sure you have granted the delegate the enough permission to create new entries on your calendar.

If the delegate now can't enter new appointments on your calendar, is there any error message? One possible reason is the local cache of your claendar in his Outlook hasn't refreshed, try to remove your calendar in his Outlook, exit Outlook, re-open your calendar in his Outlook, check if the problem persists.

Or you can have the delegate try to open Outlook in Online Mode to check the result.

It's recommended to download and install Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office programs.
