Windows 7 License Activation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear Experts,

We are in process of changing the data center location from A to B.

    Location :

A = OLD Physical Location of Data Center

B = New Location of Data Center

Server = KMS Server for Licensing

We are using KMS for the following

    1. Microsoft Office 2010

    2. Windows 7 Enterprise Edition

    3. Windows 10

Earlier, We had tried to perform the Migration from the Data Center Location A to B. After the Migration, We have observed that all the Product key is saying out of tolerance.

To Verify that, We once again moved the Server KMS from Data Center Location B to A.

We have noticed, that KMS Server is working as expected

The Activation is happening by periodic sync with KMS Server from Windows Client Operating System.

Here the SAME IP, SAME DNS, SAME Host Name in use to make the KMS Server to work on the Location B.

Please do suggest if we have any step by step process to

    1. Install the VAMT Version : 2.0.67.0

    2. We are having the Product Key to be Inject.

    3. Other & POST Configuration of VAMT Tool.

Please do the needful, Thank You

  • What's exactly required ?

The steps mentioned above should be fine - configure install vmat, add keys, configure DNS/VMAT etc and should be good to go.

  • Dear Arnav,

Thank You for your kind reply.

Do we need to have the Internet Connection on KMS Server. If So, Do we have any Specific Port or Firewall Settings.. Also Please share the best method to check the working status of KMS Server after completing the configuration.

    Please help.
