OWA Issue after Exchange 2007 SP1 Rollup 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • After I installed Exchange 2007 SP1 Rollup 7, my users lost the ability to personalize the appearance of their Outlook Web Access - the Appearance settings only show the themes "base, "1", "2" e "3" and none of them seem to work, because no matter what you select you still get the default.
The users who had already changed their themes, are back to the default.
We have not customized OWA in any way.
How can I fix this? Thanks!

  • Hi,

Then we can replace content for folder ...\8.1.359.2\themes with version(8.1.340.0 or 8.1.240.5,etc)\themes folder under ...\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\OWA\

After that, please run updateOWA.ps1 from Exchange Management Shell.

Note: Please make a backup for ...\8.1.359.2\themes.

    Regards,

    Xiu

  • Hi,

Rollup installation may overwrite the customized settings for OWA, including themes. So we recommend to backup and then remove these customized settings.

For this issue, I think we may need to install these themes again.

If it is not the issue, please feel free to let me know.

  • Hi!

Thanks for your help, but we do not have any customizations made to OWA, it's the standard OWA installed by Exchange.

The default themes that came with it are not working - Seattle Skies, X-Box 360, etc, they are being listed as base, 1, 2, 3 instead of having their names shown and, no matter what you select, you only get the default OWA theme.

    Any ideas?

We had the same issuse, but the above procedure was the solution. I transfered the 8.1.340.0 theme files to the 8.1.359.2 folder. There were a lot of missing files.

Additional a information: after the use of "updateOWA.ps1", you must do a restart of IIS.
