  • Hello Team,

I am trying to use MVMC 3.1 to convert my local machine ('C' drive of server 2012 R2 Standard) to .vhd file. Tried GUI and Powershell but the conversion fails in first few seconds with error : 'MVMC Bits client job on client host ravi with remote URL https://ravi:30443/5deab7d368ffa8e856c8343fa55f9a9a4e3dffaf/1.1.0x15e00000.1.0xd081bdc9.0x0.A5cA5cA3fA5cGLOBALROOTA5cDeviceA5cHarddiskVolumeShadowCopy18/E:A5cp2vA5cp2v A288)A5cd7638d80-3c98-11e5-80b1-806e6f6e6963.vhd and local file name E:\p2v\p2v (8)\d7638d80-3c98-11e5-80b1-806e6f6e6963.vhd failed with error code 2147954445 and error description The certificate authority is invalid or incorrect

  • Hi, I have encountered the same issue tonight. How did you go fixing the issue with your p2v? Thanks, Jon

  • Specify localhost as source if you are running version 3.1 of MVMC on the same machine you are converting to a dedicated hyper-v host; otherwise try to open the SSL Certificate and add it to trusted root cert auth. on the server that is taking the conversion

  • We use IP4 instead of hoatname in source and Hyper Host name.
