workflow tasks arenot showing approve reject buttons

  • Hello

    I need help returning some modifications I hav done on workflow tasks in project online. I removed some unwanted fields and it changed everything. Now I can't see buttons for approve or reject a task !!! and I couldn't get it back to the way it was.

    The screenshots show the difference

  • Hi,

    it seems that you are not using content type "Workflow Task (SharePoint 2013)". Please check the content type for task creation.

    I am using "Workflow Task (SharePoint 2013)", but I removed some columns from there and now whenever I add , it is from content type "Task".

    did you check in workflow, if you are still using this content type? If you are using SharePoint Designer Workflows, you will see this in section Outcome:

    I am not aware of any reset options.

    A few thoughts:

    • Did you start SPD2013 after changing content type?
    • You could try a "refresh" within SPD2013 and do another publish
    • Try to clean up SPD2013 cache (%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WebsiteCache and
      %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache) while SPD2013 is closed
